Ideal Use

We recommend Saki-Hikari Balance as a daily diet for all growing championship grade koi or koi with championship potential, 8" or larger.

When to Feed

Feed Koi without interruption as an exclusive daily diet when the water temperature is consistently above 64°F (18°C). The benefits of the Hikari-Germ probiotics do not continue once feeding is discontinued. Intermittent feeding or use with other foods mixed in will not provide the optimal benefits. As the temperatures drop below 60°F (15°C) the metabolism of your fish will continue winding down. Adjust feeding to the amount your fish will completely consume within a few minutes. We strongly suggest moving down one pellet size or switching to Hikari WheatGerm Fish Food. Discontinue feeding once water temperatures drop below 40°F (4°C).
